Independence and autonomy

Based on a federative principle, this project does not aim to replace the single sites. Instead, it offers the chance to aggregate the texts in a non-hierarchical, independent and autonomous way. This proposal moves from a methodological problem, without interfering with what members preserve and index.

The digital does not replace the real

The full access to aggregated texts and the option to create a user to do a full search should represent a reason to visit the physical spaces. The aggregator should not represent an alternative to them.

Better access to texts and ideas

Simplify the process, inside and among the anarchist spaces, to find, print, translate, preserve in paper and/or distribute written texts, and also the relationships (including international ones) among groups and/or individuals, even in anonymous form if desired so.

Collaborative refinement

Make metadata and bibliographical relationships between texts and translations, based on new standards, easily editable to provide a ground for potential further historical and archival researches.

Preservation of digital information

Optimize file and metadata formats, making massive backup possible, solve the problem of broken links used by projects, storing information on suitable servers, avoiding commercial ones and/or subject to censure. Show what already exists (e.g. scanned documents) and what is missing (e.g. periodicals) in a quick and intuitive way.
